Coconut Barfi recipe ingredients:- (dessert recipe)


Milk - 1 cup
Coconut (shelled and grated) - 1
Green cardamom - 2-3
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 2 cups


Coconut Barfi recipe preparation Method:-


In a large pan, bring the milk and oil to a boil. Stir in the sugar and add the grated coconut and cardamom, stirring constantly for 6-8 minutes, until the coconut becomes thick and glazed and then remove from the heat. Lightly grease a medium size shallow pan and pour. Cool and cut the into square shaped pieces and serve this dessert recipe to your guests.

Kheer recipe ingredients:-
1 cup Basmati rice,
1 cup condensed milk/or milkmaid - 1 tin
2 quarts fresh, whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
Chopped nuts(almonds, cashewnuts) and cardamom powder
pinch of saffron, cocconut dust.

Kheer recipe preparation Method:-
Wash rice and heat the milk in a open pan. When the milk comes to a boil add the rice. Boil the rice in the milk on a medium fire until the rice is completely done. Add condensed milk and cook for another some min., stirring continuously, until the kheer reaches a desired consistency. When it seems fully cooked, add the sugar, cocconut dust and stir till the sugar is dissolved and the mixture thickens. Remove from fire. Garnish with chopped nuts, cardamom powder and saffron. Kheer is delicious both ways, so it can be served hot as well as served chilled.

Badam halwa recipe ingredients:-
Almonds (badam)  - 1 cup
Cardamoms powder - 1 tsp
Milk - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1/2 cup (as per taste)
Ghee  - 1/2 cup

Badam halwa recipe preparation method:-
Soak the almonds in water for few hours. Then remove the skin and blend into a smooth paste with using milk. Then take sugar in a pan add some water and boil it for few minutes. Then add the almond paste and mix it well. Heat till the mixture thickens on low heat. Start adding ghee and stir it well. Cook till the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan. Add powdered cardamom. Remove badam halwa from heat and garnish with raisins. Serve this dessert recipe hot or chilled.

Kaju Burfi recipe ingredients:-
Cashew nuts (kaju) - 1 cup
Milk - 1 Cup
Sugar - 3/4 Cup
Ghee  - 1/4 Cup
Silver sheets for decoration 

Kaju Burfi recipe preparation method:-
Soak the cashew nuts (kaju) in milk for few hours. Blend the kaju to a fine paste adding milk if required. Take a pan and add the blended paste and sugar. Keep on stirring continuously for few minutes. Add the ghee slowly into the pan and keep stirring till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and forms a lump. Add cardamon powder and mix well. Remove from heat. Spread evenly on a greased plate. Decorate with the silver sheets. Cool and cut the kaju burfi into diamond shaped pieces and serve this dessert recipe to your guests.

Jalebi, a crisp sweet is a very famous dessert recipe.

Jalebi recipe ingredients:-
All-purpose flour (maida) - 1 cup
Gram flour (besan) - 1 tbsp
Curd - 1 tbsp
Green cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Yellow colour few drops
Sugar - 1 kg
Ghee for frying 

Jalebi recipe preparation method:-
Seive all-purpose flour and gram flour together. Beat the curd, make a thick batter using curd and warm water. Add few drops of yellow colour and cover. Keep aside in a warm place for few hours. Make a syrup with boiling water and the sugar and let it cool. Add cardamom powder in it. Put the batter in the bottle or bag and fry in hot ghee. Make 3 circles with the mixture to give the spherical shape like jalebi and fry in hot ghee. When the jalebis gets hard remove and put in sugar syrup. After a minutes remove from syrup. Serve hot crispy jalebi.

Rasgulla recipe ingredients:-
Milk - 1 litre
Plain flour (maida) - 2 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp

Rasgulla recipe preparation method:-  
Heat the milk in a pot until it starts to boil and add lemon juice to it. Stir slowly and gently until white curd forms on the surface and seperates out with water. Drain and sieve it well to remove all the water from the curd (chenna or paneer). Knead chenna to make a smooth dough. Add flour and knead again. Make small balls of equal size of the dough and keep aside. Make sugar syrup. Mix sugar and water in a pan and bring it to boil. Add chenna balls to the syrup and cook for 15 minutes with lid partially covered. Chenna dumplings will puff up. Just before removing from heat add cardamom powder. Cool rasgulla before serving.

Suji ka halwa recipe ingredients:-
Semolina (suji) - 1/2 cup 
Sugar - 1/4 cup (as per taste)
Ghee -  3 tbsp
Milk - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Raisins - 2 tbsp
Almonds (sliced) - 2 tbsp
Cashew nuts - 2 tbsp

Suji ka halwa recipe preparation method:-
Heat ghee in a pan. Add suji, raisins and cardamom powder and fry until it is lightly golden brown in color. Constantly stir it to ensure even browning. Add sugar and half of both raisin, and cashew. Heat few more minutes in low-medium heat. Add water and milk. Mix well and heat until you get desired consistency. (like watery dough or thick pudding) Garnish suji ka halwa with raisin and cashew nuts and serve hot.

Gulab Jamun, one of the favorite Indian desserts recipe. They are cake like golden brown balls in scented sugar syrup. This recipe can be served warm or cold.

Gulab jamun recipe ingredients:-
Gulab jamun balls:
Dry milk (khoya) - 150 gms
Indian cottage cheese (paneer) - 30 gms
All purpose Flour (maida) - 1 tbsp
Baking Soda - 1 tsp
Oil to deep fry
Gulab jamun syrup:
Sugar - 2
Water - 2
Cardamom powder - 2 tsp
Rose Water - few drops

Gulab jamun recipe preparation method:-
First make the syrup by dissolving sugar in water. Add cardamom powder and rose water in it. Keep it aside. Mix dry milk, cottage cheese, soda, all propose flour and a little milk (if needed) to make it into a soft dough and make into small balls. Heat the oil until hot and fry the balls to a golden brown or until they are darkbrown. Soak in sugar syrup for a few hours. Garnish gulab jamun with coconut powder and serve hot or cold.

Milk - 2 cups
Heavy cream - 2/3 cup
Egg yolks - 2
Safron - 1-2 strand

Almond ice cream recipe preparation method:-
Blend the almond into paste. Add milk and heavy cream, mix thoroughly together.In a saucepan, heat the almond mixture to a boil. Remove from heat. Mix egg yolks, sugar and safron for few minutes. Add almond milk and mix well. Heat the mixture over low heat for few minutes without boiling. Stir continuously. Then allow it to cool. Strain into ice cream maker and freeze until the ice cream is thoroughly firm. Garnish almond ice cream with some strawberries and serve immediately.

Phirni recipe, smooth, creamy and mouth-watering rice pudding very popular recipe. This dessert recipe is very famous in North India.

Phirni recipe ingredients:-
Milk - 4 cup
Rice - 75 gms
Saffron - 4-5 strands
Green cardamom (powdered)- 7
Pistachios (crushed) - 1 tbsp
Almonds  (crushed) - 1 tbsp
Cashewnuts  (crushed) - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 6 tbsp or as per taste

Phirni recipe preparation method:-
Wash the rice and soak it in a little water for about 20  minutes. Grind the rice to make a fine paste. Keep aside. Boil the milk so that it reduces to half its quantity. Add the rice paste to this and mix well so that no lumps are formed.Add sugar and stir well. Keep on low heat for about 4 minutes. Dissolve the saffron in warm milk and add this to the above mixture. Remove the phirni from heat and sprinkle cardamom powder on top. Garnish with crushed almonds, pistachios and cashewnuts. Let phirni to cool and set in the refrigerator and serve chilled.

Rasmalai recipe ingredients:-
Ricotta cheese / paneer - 2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup or as per taste
Half & half milk - .75 lt
Saffron - 3-4 strands
Cardamom seeds (crushed) - 1/4 tsp
Almonds (grated) - 1/2 cup
Green pistachios (crushed) - 2 tbsp

Rasmalai recipe preparation method:-
Mix the cheese with sugar and little cardamom powder and spread out on a baking tray or make a oval shape and put in baking tray. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until it sets. It should not get brown. Remove from oven, cool at room temperature and cut into 2" squares. Place them in a dessert bowl. Mix the other ingredients, except the pistachios well in a separate dish and pour over the squares. Garnish rasmalai with pistachios. Put the rasmalai into refrigertor for 3 hours and then serve. (You can use sugar as per your taste and can add cashewnuts, raisins to add the taste of rasmalai)

Milk - 1 lt
Condensed milk - 1 tin
Cornflour - 1 tbsp
Almonds (chopped) - 10
Pistachios (chopped) - 10
Cardamom (powdered) - 5-6
Saffron - few strand
Rose water - 2-3 drops
Sugar to taste (if required)

Kulfi recipe preparation method:-
Boil the milk. Add the condensed milk and keep stirring till it thickens. Mix cornflour in half cup cold milk to a smooth paste and add it to the milk mixture and sugar if required. Keep stirring till it is thick. Remove kulfi from heat. Add rose water, almonds, pistachios and cardamom powder. Lightly roast the saffron and soak in a little milk. Add it to the Kulfi mixture and mix well. Keep aside to cool. Pour it in the Kulfi container and keep for refrigeration.

3/4 cup fine vermicelli
1/2 tsp. cardamom powder
10-12 strands saffron
10 almonds
5 pistachios
2 - 3 cashew nuts
1 tsp. ghee
1 tablespoon custard powder, dissolved in some warm milk
Sugar 100 gms (to taste)

Vermicelli recipe preparation method:- 
Heat the ghee and fry the vermicelli until a golden brown. Take a open pan and add the milk to it.Add the vermicilli to the milk  and boil on a medium fire until the vermicilli is completely done.Now add the custard powder and keep stirring.Add all other ingredients, reduce heat.Mix in the sugar and stir till the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the cardamom powder and serve hot or warm vermicelli, garnished with more chopped almonds if desired.

Peel and grate potatoes. Boil in milk till tender and thick. Mash well.  Add ghee, cashewnuts, cardamom and shreded coconut and mix well. Add sugar and when it begins to leave the pan remove from fire. Garnish aloo halwa with shreded coconut and serve hot in a plate.

Cake recipe ingredients:-
Egg whites - 1 cup
Sugar (powdered) - 1 cup
All purpose flour (Maida) - 1 cup
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Fresh cream -  11/2 cup
Cinnamon - 2 tsp
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp

Cake recipe preparation method:-
In a very large bowl allow egg whites to stand at room temperature for 30 mins. Sift powdered sugar, baking powder and flour together; set aside. Add fresh cream and vanilla to egg whites. Beat it nicely in mixer. Add the above flour mixture over beaten egg whites in a large mixing bowl and blend on medium speed until well blended. Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch baking pan or a round pie plate. Spread cinnamon evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degree for 30 to 40 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched (a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean).
